High Sheriff of Bedfordshire’s Diary

Events attended by the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire in October 2022

Three Counties Radio Awards

Three Counties Radio Awards for helpers held at the Grove theatre Dunstable. Two of the prize winners looked after their mother while undergoing cancer treatment. Mayor of Dunstable and PCC Festus Akinbusoye presented the Awards. It was humbling to hear the nominations.

Debbie Brock High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire

Debbie had her fantastic Justice Service at the beautiful church at Olney. Here with the visiting High sheriffs from neighbouring counties.

Lord Lieutenants’s Farewell Service

With @LLieutenantBeds⁩ Helen Nellis and Susan Lousada at the service of thanksgiving for all Helen has achieved over 11 years. We also welcomed Sue to the post which I am sure she will undertake with her own brand of charm, humour and kindness.

Vauxhall Luton

I spent a fascinating morning visiting the Body Shop & General Assembly at the highly efficient #VauxhallLutonPlant. The men worked seamlessly alongside the balletic robots. This is the home of the Vauxhall Vivaro and equivalent LCVs for Opel, Citroen & Peugeot, plus FIAT now.

Chiltern Learning Trust

We had a fascinating meeting with Adrian Rodgers of the #Chiltern Learning Trust at Denbigh High School, Luton, hearing about their fantastic work raising the academic standards in schools throughout Bedfordshire. They even turn around schools that have hit rock bottom.

Bedford MS Therapy Centre Art Exhibition

Art exhibition featuring original works for sale by local and national artists at the MS Therapy Centre at Barkers Lane in Bedford.
